Mary Molloy (formerly Mary Hamill) graduated from Ulster Universitys' Belfast School of Art in 2016 and quickly published her first photobook Semper Augustus which was launched during the opening week of Les Rencontres d'arles 2016.
The work, which includes an introduction by renowned British photographer Martin Parr, was shortlisted at Riga Photomonth and Photobook Bristol the same year and was selected by Anne Lyden, curator at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, as part of the 2016 Source Graduate Showcase. It was also featured in the November 2016 edition of ELSE magazine.
Molloys' work has been exhibited widely at the Pingyao International Photography Festival 2016, Cream 2016, The Ulster Photo Fair 2016, Halftone Dublin 2016, Gazebook Sicily, Photobook Bristol and as part of the RUAs 2016 annual group show at The Ulster Museum Belfast.
After graduating Mary returned to take up a position of Artist in Residence at Ulster University in 2016 - 2017. She is currently in the process of creating a new body of work which will be exhibited as part of the Belfast Exposed Futures Program in 2018.
